How does it work:
Step 1: Download the BookMingle App
Search BookMingle and download – available both on ios and andriod
Step 2: Sign Up or Log In
Once the app is installed, open it and sign up for a new account using your email address or log in if you already have an account. You can also sign up or log in using your Google or Apple credentials for added convenience.
Step 3: Read Community Rules
After Signing Up, take a moment to read all community rules and terms and condition with detail.
Step 4: Explore Books in Your Area
Now it’s time to start browsing for books! The home page will display all available books for borrowing in your area (the default search radius is 100 Mi, which you can change from Settings). You can filter your search by genre, author, or book title to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Step 5: Borrow a Book
Found a book you want to read? Click on the book to view more details and check its availability. If the book is available, send a text to to the owner and request for borrow. Once the owner accepts your request, you can arrange a convenient time and place for the book exchange.
Step 6: Lend a Book
Want to share your own books with others? Click on the “+” icon on navigation bar and fill out the required information about the book you want to lend. Once your book is listed, other users in your area can send borrowing requests to you.
Step 7: Meet Fellow Book Lovers
BookMingle isn’t just about borrowing and lending books—it’s also about building connections with other book lovers in your neighborhood. Use the app’s chat feature to connect with users who share your reading interests and discuss your favorite books.
Step 8: Leave Reviews and Recommendations
After reading a book borrowed from BookMingle, don’t forget to leave a review and recommendation to help other users discover great reads. Also review the user to make the platform more safe and trustworthy.
You can also see reviews from other users to find new books to add to your reading list.
